The Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Guam hosted its annual New Year Gala at Leo Palace Resort on Saturday, January 29, 2011. With the theme of Golden Rabbit, President George Lai welcomed the arrival of the Chinese Lunar New Year of the Rabbit with CCCG Board Members and nearly 600 guests. Many island dignitaries, including Governor Eddie Calvo, First Lady Christine Calvo, Speaker Judy Won Pat, TECO Director-General Paul Wang, Japan Consul – General Yoshiyuki Kimura, joined the New Year celebration. The evening was filled with great entertainment with its highlight being the Chinese Costume Contest. The New Year Gala Committee was chaired by Mr. Peter Lai. Xie Xie to all the sponsors and Gōng Xǐ Fā Cái to everyone!
